project is done by relating the number of sinks that are to be discharged
through the tank, to the required gallon capacity of the tank. This
table can be used a s a guide.
INSTALLATION AND APPLICATION ADVICE 1. Tanks must be placed on a flat, solid surface to allow uniform, full support to tank bottom. Such surfaces may be basement floors, concrete pads or compact, stone-free sandbeds. 2. All concrete surfaces should be lined with Safeguard” Polypropylene lining materials. Safeguardtm lining shall be a minimum of 1 /2” thickness. 3. Tank must not be used to support manhole covers, traffic of any kind or heavy equipment. 4. Do not support tanks by inlet, outlet, vent or piping system. 5. Tanks must not be subjected to pressurized or vacuum applications. 6. Depending upon effluent content HDPE tanks may be used at temperature up to 1 60’F, and polypropylene tanks (available on special order) up to 212’F. Consult P.E.P. for advice on chemical resistance. 7. Please consult our Engineering Department with any special design requirements.
