FRP PULTRUSIONS

PULTRUDED ROD

Hi-Tech Composites

POLYGLAS Rod is a composite material with unique characteristics making it useful in a wide variety of applications. Most POLYGLAS Rod is composed of polyester resin and fiberglass. However other reinforcements such as graphite and KEVLAR® fiber, and resin systems like epoxies vinyl-ester or phenolics can be used. These composites can be formed into practically any shape by the pultrusion process.

Polyglas Rod is manufactured in several standard, stocked grades. The characteristics of each grade are determined by the type of resin used and the proportion of glass filament in the matrix.

.

Polyester - General Purpose Grade for up to 155C.

Supersil - High Temperature Grade for use up to 200C.

EHS - Extra High Strength - This grade provides very high flexural and tensile strength and modulus.

FR and TR - UL Listed (File ES5403) - Flame retardant and track resistant material.

Other - By varying the resin system and glass content, properties may be enhanced to meet a wide range of needs.
