Notes
Kent fittings are available in many styles, from simple in-line
hose barbs, to various adapters, to four types of plugs. Certain fittings
are color keyed for quick recognition: panel mount fittings are available
in seven colors, light blue denotes shut-off capability, and red signifies
a swivel feature.
Kent fittings cannot be disconnected accidentally, like
some push-button type fittings. They offer a locking feature which requires
part of the fitting to be pulled back while turning to unlock and disconnect.
This simple procedure can be accomplished with one hand.
Uses for Kent fittings include laboratories, instrumentation,
light-duty pneumatics or vacuum, and other situations where a lightweight,
quick disconnect fitting is required. |
