C-P-S realizes that information technology is rapidly transforming the work we all do and how we do it. A whole new infrastructure - the information layer - has been added to our scope of services.

Modern industrial facilities utilize sophisticated control systems not only for automation but also for information reporting. Management, business and production networks are no longer isolated systems, but have interconnections to provide the necessary information at all levels. Customers may want to use control system information for compliance reporting or strategic planning which changes the orientation from the shop floor to other corporate applications and requires connectivity to enterprise data systems.

Recognizing the growing convergence between control and
information disciplines, we supply comprehensive, networked solutions that provide seamless integration between device level, process, visualization and information management tools. C-P-S intelligent systems use the synergistic combination of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology configuration.

A lot of projects we build today include a solid relational or object-oriented database. Our database developers are well versed in the disciplines of design (both logical and physical), integration, and maintenance of RDBMS systems. C-P-S engineers have built systems that were coupled with a variety of enterprise applications and assisted in delivering the latest PC-based technology solutions including implementing of database management; archiving and report writing; writing of system utility and data conversion programs; tuning and assurance of database integrity.

Our engineers are capable of designing and implementing the network infrastructure (e.g., platform hosting arrangements, hubs, routers, switches) necessary to support successful integration. We set up network topologies for different LAN/WAN standards, determine interface requirements and configure various data communications equipment and channels.
