All training classes (except for Certification Training Courses) are held at George Fischer, Inc. in Tustin, California. Each attendee is responsible for transportation, hotel accommodations and food. Nearest major airport is John Wayne/Orange County airport and is about a 15 minute drive from the plant. To register, see the "Contact Us" section. All classes are limited to 6 attendees on a first come basis. If a minimum of two attendees have not registered by 5 working days before the scheduled class date, class will be canceled and the attendees will be rescheduled. On-site training is available for some programs.

Infrared (IR) Fusion Certification

Bead and Crevice Free (BCF) Fusion Certification
Who should take this course? Personnel using George Fischer joining equipment.
Prerequisite: None
Socket Fusion Certification

IR (Infrared) Weld Inspection Program (WIP)
Who should take this course? Quality Assurance Personnel (inspectors) for OEMs, Contractors, and End-Users. 

Upon completetion of this eight-hour (1 day) class the QA Inspector will have a good basis to perform on-site visual IR (Infared) weld evaluations. The Course covers:

     
  • weld background
  • terminology
  • bead characteristics
  • restmelt evaluation
  • flow charts and checklist

IR Level II Maintenance Training
Who should take this course? On-site lead or foremen personnel of contractors and end-users.
Prerequisite: All attendees must have competed the George Fischer Infrared (IR) Fusion Certification Course

Completion of this 16-hour (2 day) class allows the trainee to replace external parts of the machine. This hands-on course covers:

     
  • weld evaluation
  • documentation
  • technical concepts
  • maintenance procedures
  • heater cleaning and alignment
  • clamping carriage adjustments
  • facing tool adjustments.
